New York TimesReader
This past week the New York Times released the Mac version of their product TimeReader. It is a pretty nice little Microsoft Silverlight based app. that give you a newspaper feel. have been using it for the last week or so, and I can say I love the layout and how the app works, but it has a downfall. On start-up the memory usage goes straight to 80MB. When you begin to use it it jumps to 100+MB....
ItisHappening
ItisHappening.org is a site that collects any news article on the web that is related to global warming and put it all in one place. This is a very well done and simple flash based website. Usually I dislike flash based sites, but this site is very simple and clean; it just works. Global warming is real for any of you doubters out there, if there are any left. Awareness needs to be raised, now....

Citation Made Easy
At Ottobib.com you can get citation that can be copy and pasted onto your bibliography by only putting in the ISBN number on the back of the book. The site does MLA, APA, and Chicago style citation. It is very handy for a high-schooler like myself. I have used it numerous times, and you don;t even need the book to use it. Just search on Google Books and usually the ISBN is shown in the...
"A Crude Awakening; The Oil Crash"
I just watched “A Crude Awakening; The Oil Crash” yesterday and to tell you the truth it was eye-opening. I knew that the world was in trouble, but the trouble isn’t 50-100 years in the future, it’s now. I don’t think that the dependancy of getting oil from foreign countries is our problem, it’s oil all together. Slowly we will be running out of oil, not just...

Google Reps The First Laser
Google’s new image for today, 5.16.08, is Google spelled with lasers. Today is the anniversary of the first creation of the laser. check out the Google Search here. When I saw the picture I first thought it was from those old Geoboards in math class with the rubber bands that we used to make different shapes. I have to say, this is probably the most illegible Google image I have ever seen,...
Water Engine
This amazing engine has been around for a few years, but we are lacking to take advantage of it. even with slot time on high rating news channels the only people that are taking advantage of it is the U.S. Military. Many people don’t see the enormous importance of this engine, this running-on-water-engine. WE will not need oil for transportation anymore, we can use the one thing that we...

Tour at WPI
I have begun my college search. It began with a tour and interview at WPI this morning. WPI stands for Worcester Polytechnic Institute, in Worcester, Ma. The campus was amazing, the old brick buildings with vines growing up them made me think of an ivy league school. WPI is a math and science school, and I would like to go for science. The tour was great, and my interview went on without a...

SATs
Tomorrow is the dreaded SATs and I will become a victim of them tomorrow morning. For four and a half hours, I will be enduring what thousands of other high schoolers will be enduring across the nation. With colleges so competitive now, more and more kids rely on their SATs to get them into college, but they can also keep them out. So many kids, including me, stress out about the SATs and with one...
